WoW Druid Guide - Dancing with the Druid

Image of WoW Druid GuideIf you have ever envisioned yourself as a tree-hugger, an environmentalist, or a protector of Mother Earth then congratulations – you will excel as a Druid in the World of Warcraft. In fact, you won’t even need to read this WoW Druid guide, for the Druids of WoW are exactly like that in the sense that they’re above their counterparts when it comes to understanding the laws of nature and the ways to bend and use it for their own purposes.

The Druids are a lot that is at one with nature. As such, this class has the ability to call forth vines to trap their enemies, change their forms into animals, and basically do anything that revolves around anything and everything to do with nature.

Peaceful yet aggressive, the Druid class is a jack of all trades and master of none. The class is a hybrid, providing players a multitude of abilities they can tweak to match their own preferred style of fighting or raiding. With the ability to stealth like a Rogue, heal like a Priest, tank like a Warrior, and cast spells like a Mage the Druid can fit many roles.

The downside of course is that they cannot do these tasks as well as the original classes all the time, unless they are specialized to do so. The dynamic makes the Druid class very flexible and adaptable to any kind of situation and any type of roles at any time, provided of course that you’re good enough to tweak its gear and spec the character based on the role you want it to play.

As such, anyone who likes to be versatile and helpful in any situation may find the Druid class to be something they will be interested in. They may not be the strongest fighters or the single best support character but they can fill both roles quite effectively.

Druids are limited to leather or cloth armor, the former being the preferred type since it is more suited to and itemized for the class. For weapons they may wield staves, daggers, one and two handed maces, fist weapons and pole-arms.

One thing you should take note of while reading this WoW Druid guide is that the class learns (through both leveling and from various quests) the ability to shift into many animal and elemental forms. For instance druid can take the form of Bear and Dire Bear for tanking, the Cat form for melee DPS (quite similar to a rogue and allows for stealth movement). They can also employ elemental form, such as the Travel form which enables a 40% increase in run speed; the Aquatic form that allows for water breathing and 50% increased swim speed; and lastly the Flight form for, of course, flying in the skies of Outland and Northrend. There are two other forms a druid may take through talents: a Boomkin form for ranged magic DPS and the Tree form for increased healing abilities to the restoration druid.

Having written all these in this guide, you now know that the Druid is like having four completely different characters all rolled into. Quite simply, the greatest strength of this class is its versatility. Druids are also very self sufficient early on in the game, making it a very ideal class for beginners.
